Total Number of ITAs in 2019 Reaches 85,300

The Express Entry draws typically occur every two weeks, and with the holiday season approaching it was unclear whether there would be another one before the end of the year. Today’s unexpected 133rd draw resulted in 3,200 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to candidates under the Federal Express Entry system.
Although minimum CRS cut-offs had been relatively high in the past few rounds, we are happy to see that this draw saw a three-point drop to 469 compared to last week’s draw at 472, which could indicate a downward trend moving into the new year.
Today’s draw brings the total number of invitations issued this year to 85,300, significantly surpassing the federal high skilled immigration target for 2019 of 81,400.
As the end of 2019 nears, we are happy to see that the government is steadily on track to achieve its goal of welcoming over one million newcomers over the next three years.  If you are interested in making Canada your forever home, now is the best time to begin the application process!
